The heraldic figure of the eagle
A detail of the courtyard of Palazzo Valenti Gonzaga.
The windows have stucco decorations with the heraldic figures of the eagle and the lion.
The bizarre plastic decorations of the courtyard are attributed to the Dutch Frans Geffels, Flemish architect-painter, or under his direction, to the plasterer Giacomo Aliprandi and date back to around 1686.
